Who we are

What this website collects
Nothing. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts or trackers. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.
The contact form on this site does not transmit anything to us or store anything here. When you submit it, your browser composes a message in your own email application, addressed to us. You choose whether to send it, and you can see exactly what it contains before you do.
Our web host records standard server and delivery logs, including IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
Information you give us
If you email, call or write to us, we receive whatever you choose to tell us — typically your name, your organization, your contact details and the substance of your enquiry. We use it to respond to you and, if you engage us, to carry out the work.
Information we receive during an engagement
Clients who engage us supply information about the property and the assignment. That can include documents, photographs, leases, financial records, and the names and contact details of people connected to the property — owners, tenants, managers, or site contacts — so that inspections and site visits can be arranged.
Where a client gives us someone else's contact details, we rely on the client to have the authority to do so. We contact those people only about the specific assignment they are connected to.
How we use information
To perform and deliver the work we have been engaged to do; to communicate with the parties to an engagement; to meet the record-keeping obligations of our profession; to comply with law; and to protect the security and integrity of our systems.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Email we send
Our email is transactional. Every message we send is generated by a specific engagement — a confirmation, a request for documents or photographs, a status notice, or delivery of completed work. We do not operate a mailing list, we do not send marketing email, and we never purchase, rent, or harvest email addresses.
You can stop receiving messages from us at any time by replying to any message or writing to privacy@praevoadvisory.com, and we will act on that request promptly. Addresses that reject our mail or report it as unwanted are suppressed automatically and are not contacted again.
Service providers
We use Amazon Web Services to host our systems and deliver our email, in United States regions. Our providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes.
How long we keep information
The professional standards that govern our work require us to retain the work file for an engagement for at least five years after the work is prepared, or at least two years after the final disposition of any judicial proceeding in which we gave testimony, whichever is longer. We keep engagement records for at least that long. Correspondence that does not form part of a work file is kept only as long as it is needed.
Security
Engagement information is held in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit and at rest, with activity recorded in an audit trail. Access is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Your choices
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@praevoadvisory.com. We will respond as the law requires. Some information cannot be deleted on request because the record-keeping obligations described above require us to keep it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or federal privacy law. Tell us and we will honor them.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you rights over the personal information described in this policy. The categories we collect are identifiers and contact details you give us, professional and commercial information connected to an engagement, and the internet and network activity recorded in the server logs described above. We collect them for the operational purposes described in this policy, we retain them for the periods described under How long we keep information, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to access it, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion subject to the record-keeping obligations described above, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. To exercise a right, write to privacy@praevoadvisory.com. We will verify the request and respond within the time the law requires. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf.
This section, together with what this website collects, what you give us, and what we receive during an engagement, serves as our notice at collection for California residents.
Children
Our services are for businesses. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here and update the date at the top.
